SS 304 is the most widely used austenitic stainless steel grade derived from SS 304 Stainless Steel. SS 303 is a free-machining austenitic stainless steel grade derived from SS 303 Stainless Steel. Because of its excellent machining properties, SS 303 is widely used in precision components, fasteners, and engineering parts where extensive machining operations are required.

SS 302 HQ (High Quality) is a high-carbon austenitic stainless steel grade derived from SS 302 Stainless Steel. The “HQ” designation generally refers to High Quality / High Hardness wire or fastener grade, specially processed for improved strength, better surface finish, and consistent mechanical properties. It is widely used in spring, fastener, and engineering applications where higher strength and good corrosion resistance are required.

SS 202 is a type of stainless steel belonging to the 200 series austenitic stainless steels. It is a low-nickel, high-manganese stainless steel developed as a cost-effective alternative to traditional 300 series grades like SS 304, while still offering good corrosion resistance and mechanical strength.

Stainless Steel has different corrosion properties which include being non-corrosive, rust-resistant steel, which is simply designated as stainless steel. In comparison with aluminium, stainless steel is approximately 3 times heavier. Stainless steel, like steel itself, is an alloy. An alloy always consists of different materials. Among the most frequent alloying elements in non-corrosive stainless steel is chrome, where nickel, molybdenum and further elements are used for special requirements.
